Sally Hanson Xtreme Wear Mint Sorbet Swatches and Stamping

I picked up Mint Sorbet the other day and I must say, I love this color.  It is just so yummy looking.  Not to mention I got a lot of compliments on this mani.  I picked up some new Essence plates as well and was so excited to try them out.  Back when I first discovered the nail polish blogging community I used to read people posts and they would say they couldn't remember how many coats they did and I thought it was funny that they couldn't remember.  Ha.  Guess what, I can't remember if  I did two or three coats of this.  :-(  I am going to start writing these things down so that  I don't ever have to write this again.

My new plates.  The stamp that I used was on the right plate on the bottom in the center.

Base coat: Chip Skip by OPI and Smooth Beginnings from Avon
Base color: Mint Sorbet from Sally Hanson - 2 coats...I think
Stamping color: Why Not from Sinful Colors.  It did not stain when I used it as a stamping color like it did when I used it for my entire nail.
Top Coat: Out the Door

I am really liking stamping.  What about you guys?

    1. I found these plates at Fred Meyer in the Essence display case. They are 1.99 each. This is also where I bought my stamper and it came with the scraper and an image plate for 2.99. I was really scared it wouldn't work because all the other stampers I have seen are around ten dollars but I love it and haven't had any problems with them. Thank you for the awards, I will check it out in just a second! Yeah, so excited. And thank you for the compliment!

  2. I really love the look of stamping. It's too bad I stink at it! :) I love how you just did your tips. How pretty! I didn't know Essence made stamping plates. I like the designs!

    1. I almost gave up on stamping because I had such a hard time with it in the beginning. I just kept practicing on our tables lol. My husband found it quite amusing to come home and see all of these random images everywhere. I also know I had a really hard time because I was trying to use normal polish, trying to be cheap, and found that the experience is much better with the stamping polish. I haven't picked any up yet but I know Essence has a black and a white and they are only 1.99 each.

  3. I am soooo jealous of your tip stamping skills! I can do regular images decently but i really suck at trying to line the tips up right. Very cute mani :)

  4. Thank you. The sad thing is I didn't even try and they turned out like this. I TRIED to do another tip stamping tip mani tonight and it was TERRIBLE! lol. When I try I suck, when I don't I don't even know I'm good. I may never be able to do a good one again! I pray this is not the case.
