Two of my favorites

I decided that I wanted to play with a little bit of sponging because I have only done it a few times.  I really like how this turned out though.  I will most likely be wearing it again soon because I love how pretty these two are together.

This is two coats of N.Y.C. Purple Pizzazz Frost

Then with a sponge I applied Sally Hanson Rosy Future.  The picture above and picture below were taken indoors with the flash on.

This is in side with out the flash.  Doesn't it just look so pretty.  :)

I didn't have time to do a new mani the next day so I just threw Pure Ice Cheatin on top.  Cheatin is a really pretty blue and purple glitter that I like to throw on top of any color for some extra sparkle.

Never thought I would use this color again

I bet you never thought these two colors

Would be able to do this!

Well, it is all true.  I wish I could say that I figured this layering possibility out on my own, but sadly I was not.  I was inspired by Canadian Nail Fanatic.  I NEVER EVER IN A MILLION YEARS thought I would use that Sally Hanson Sheerly Opal again because I am more into the dramatic bright colors of polish but I decided to keep it once I learned nail polish never goes bad, I thought, hey, maybe I will need it.... ONE day.  And that day came.  I can not believe the crazy beautiful blue that came from this combo.  All I did was two layers of Wet N' Wild's Black Cream, waited for it to dry, and then one layer of the Sally Hanson Sheerly Opal.  Ta Da.  I got bored thought with just the plain nails so I busted out my Sally Hanson Nail Art Pen and did something super quick just to liven them up even more.

I want you gals to dig through your polish and see if you have any of these random colors that may turn into something crazy cool and let me know!  I want to see your pics.  Email them to me and I will post them on my blog!  melizajane20@gmail.com

Ok beauties, have a super sweet day and send me those pics!!!!

Sinful Colors: Cinderella

I have seen this color a few times and the last time I saw it over on Deuce Beauties I knew this had to be the next color I bought.  So I made my wonderful hubs drive me to a different town in hopes of picking up the Wet and Wild colors that we don't have in because they are store specific, and found this there!  I did this on Friday night but didn't post it because I really wanted to see if in the sunlight I could capture the purple holo effect it has.  It isn't major but it is there and I love it.  It is such a pretty color.  In all of these pictures I am wearing three coats.

This one is taken inside with the flash in hopes that I could pick up the holo effect.

 Taken inside with out flash.

Taken outside in the sunlight.  Au natural.

Same here.  You can kinda see the holo effect but it didn't really pick up in any of the pictures I tried to take.

I guess you will just have to splurge a whole two dollars and try it your self.  Let me know what you think!

O.P.I. Warm and Fozzie swatches and daisies

I have wanted to own this polish ever since I have seen swatches of it multiple times across the blogosphere.  I thought about this mani all day. ;)  I have always been a fan of browns and purples.  I really wish that you could see the specks of purple, green, gold, and bronze in the pictures.  Just take my advise and go buy this color.  In the pictures to follow I am wearing three coats of Warm and Fozzie with no top coat.

In this picture I am in direct sunlight. but had to tilt the camera a little towards me so I could actually see the color.  See on my pointer finger at the top of the nail, pretty blinding.  :)

I took this picture inside with my flash in hopes that you would be able to see the colored flecks, which you can if you look really close.

And of course I wanted to play around with some daisies I had seen on the internet last night.  I can't find the website that I saw this tutorial on, but once I find it again I will post the link for it.  I placed five white circles with a dotting tool(bobby pin) and then used a toothpick(other end of the bobby pin) and then drug it from the middle of the polish to the center to make it look like a petal.  Then I just put little drops of yellow and then painted some random black lines coming from the side of the flowers but didn't like the black so I went over it with a silver glitter.  I went over the top with the O.P.I. RapiDry Top Coat which is what messed with the petals on my thumb.  :(  I just went around the other flowers with the top coat so that I didn't ruin the other ones.

This was taken inside with no flash.

This picture was taken out side not in direct sunlight with no flash.

What are your thoughts on O.P.I.'s Warm and Fozzie.  Have you picked it up yet?  Do you love it?  Do you hate it?  I want to know!

Words With Friends mani

Ok so I know it is past Valentines day, but it is still February so it isn't that bad to post this right now, is it?!  I am just so in love with my mani from yesterday that I am leaving it on for one more day, especially since it barley chipped with the use of the O.P.I. Chipskip I have been using the past two days.  Which in and of itself is a miracle seeing as how I work in food service and am constantly washing my hand and re gloving them all day long.  When I wore this for Valentines I got a lot of complements on it.  I wish I was so creative that I could say I came up with it all by myself but I was inspired yet again from Pinterest.(See original idea here) I however went with points from Words With Friends and that is why the letter V has five points instead of four.

I would love to hear what you guys did for your Valentines Day manis, or what you guys are even wearing today.  Don't be afraid to leave your blog address in the comments.  Have a great day everyone!
